Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) have been with us since 2001 and one of the first to offer a better burger to Londoners!
Given how saturated the burger market has now become in London, it can be hard to compete. I hadn’t been to a GBK in a few years and was pleasantly surprised at the choice available and the quality at the branch in Spitalfields.
We started off with some Halloumi Bites with kiwifruit and habanero hot sauce (SO good!) and the Chilli Fried Chicken Bites with hot sauce mayo.
Then on to the burgers – we had to try the special ‘Big Mouth’ burger – 6oz beef patty, Big Mouth beer cheese, bacon monster crunch, smoked chilli mayo, beef ketchup, salad, brioche bun, which was delicious! I also loved The Stack with Pan-fried chorizo, Red Leicester cheese, house onion ring, smoked chilli mayo, rocket, pickled onions, house relish. The chorizo really added some great flavour.
Definitely not going to wait years to return this time and excited to try another one of their specials! They also offer a very reasonably priced lunch menu for around £6 with a smaller 4oz burger and a side.
