Mayfair Pizza Co. – Vegan and Vegetarian Menu Launch
Pizza Making Class in London
Mayfair Pizza Co. is located down the quaint and cobbled street in Lancashire Court, opposite its sister restaurant Mews of Mayfair. It is such a cute location and perfect for a quick dinner in a modern and warm environment. There is an authentic Italian feel to the restaurant and with the large open kitchen you can watch the chefs hard at work which I loved. With pizza dough’s been tossed around it certainly added to the entertainment.
The private pizza making room contained large balls of dough and we were ready to go! We were instructed by the head chef on how to massage and knead the dough. Whilst Marco tossed the dough in the air successfully, we decided it was just a little too risky….
There were a number of different base and topping options for the pizza. I opted for a tomato base and added some vegan mozzarella cheese. This was followed by yellow and green courgette, mushrooms, padron pepper, a couple of aubergine slices and red onions and then topped with extra cheese!
We followed the chef into the kitchen and placed our pizzas in the oven. I was really rather impressed by mine! Although initially a bit dubious about Vegan pizza, as I am a big meat lover the pizzas tasted great. You also do not get the stodgy feeling that you sometimes get after pizza.
The pizza making class at Mayfair Pizza Company was really great fun and made all the better by being able to eat it at the end!
