Namaaste Kitchen is located in the heart of Camden, minutes away from the tube station, and offers a good selection of Indian inspired grills and curries.
To start, we had the Coriander Lime Chicken Tikka served with coconut roasted tomatoes and sesame seed and the Spicy Soft Shell Crab marinated in green pepper corn lemon sauce deep fried and served with spicy fig & prunes sauce. Both starters were tasty and presented well.
On to the mains, we had the Peshawari Lamb Chops marinated with Fresh ginger paste, raw papaya & selected herbs and spices and the Dumpukht Biryani with a lamb shank. The portions were extremely generous – four meaty lamb chops with plenty of meat on and so much rice with the biryani. The waiters were very kind in letting us take the rest home, which I enjoyed the next evening!
Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and the service was impressive. Make sure to check out the special lunch menu with 2 courses for only £10 – absolute bargain.
