This week I was invited to attend a sushi making class at The University of Sushi organised by One City LDN which aims to cover events in the City of London and beyond including pop ups, theatre performances, dance workshops, festivals and more.
The class was set upstairs in Sushi Gourmet which is located in the beautiful Leadenhall Market (building number 38).
We learnt how to make Nigiri, Maki rolls, inside out rolls and hand rolls, as well as secret sushi and ingredient techniques! Our teacher was a lot of fun and knowledgeable, he was also always close by to correct our mistakes which were inevitably often! The class lasted two hours and flew by as it was so much fun.
We made all of our sushi using fresh tuna and salmon and it tasted fantastic (If I do say so myself!). The spicy sauce they offered at the end gave our sushi a yummy kick too! I’d recommend the class, it was fun and you get a lot out of it.
The class costs £35pp and you get a lot of sushi and knowledge for the price – recommended.
