Restaurant in London Fields
We loved the stripped back look at Fold Pizza restaurant in London Fields. With a spacious, bright and modern feel, the atmosphere was relaxed and laidback. Fold Pizza is from the guys behind NY Fold, an independent family run New York style pizzeria. We met Annabel and she was so friendly and passionate about the business, her stuff and, of course, the product!
We kicked off with some summery drinks – Aperol Spritz, Pimms and Prosecco – before we started our pizza class!
These pizzas are designed to be folded and eaten by the slice but they also sell 12, 16 and 20 inch ones! We met with the lovely chef, Marco, and kicked off making our pizza specials.
We created three pizzas:
The Vavavoom veggie – cherry tomatoes, red onions, caramelised onions, jalapenos, olives, roasted peppers, sautéed mushrooms, spinach, rocket and balsamic dressing
The Porky Pig: Pulled pork, pepperoni, pancetta, bbq sauce and a drizzle of chilli oil
The Spicy Saucy Sausage – Cumberland sausage, jalapenos, olives, cherry tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, rocket and parmesan.
We enjoyed being chefs for the evening kneading the dough, creating the toppings and cooking it to perfection. We put the pizzas to a vote and, by a very close call, the Vavavoom Veggie won and it is on sale for a limited period of time.
Fold Pizza offers a wide variety of pizzas in so many sizes with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. You can make your pizzas gluten free, add vegan cheese instead of mozzarella and add a stuffed crust! Oh and my favourite – you can split the toppings 50/50!
