Bar and Bowling in London

All Star Lanes offers fantastic bowling in London with several branches all over the City. We visited the newly opened branch at Westfields in Shepherds Bush. The new branch has a large open restaurant and bar and 10 bowling lanes, two of which are in private rooms!

The Food

To start we had Popcorn Squid (£6.50): southern fried baby squid rings with garlic mayo dip and the Jumbo Chicken Wings(£6.50): with bourbon BBQ sauce. The squid was full of flavour and served in a cute take out box which was a fun touch. The garlic mayo dip was to die for! The jumbo wings were certainly large, delicious and smothered in tasty BBQ sauce.

For our mains we had some epic burgers! We opted for The High Roller (£18): 6oz chuck steak and rib cap patty with shaved Kobe beef, smoked cheese, lettuce and truffle mayonnaise. We also had the Spicy Nacho (£9.50): taco spiced yellow lentil and chickpea patty coated in polenta with guacamole, chargrilled courgettes and nacho vegan ‘cheese’ sauce in a toasted bun. At £18, The High Roller is pricey for a burger but it was certainly worth it. You can tell the quality of the meat when you eat it and the smoky cheese was a great touch, not to mention the indulgent truffle mayo.  The vegan burger was also really good, not your normal run of the mill falafel burger! Full of flavour and spice – it was messy as hell but totally worth it.

For our sides we had some salty delicious Skinny Fries (£3.50) and some gorgeous Pizza Tots (£4.50). The tater tots with pizza sauce, crispy pepperoni chips and melted mozzarela were so good!

To finish we shared the M&M Cheesecake Shots (£5.50) which were super indulgent. With an oreo biscuit base topped with creamy cheesecake filling and topped with crispy M&M’s. They were delicious and served in perfect little shot glass portions!

The Drinks

With an impressive cocktail menu it would be rude not to try one! We indulged in the recommended Gin & Elderflower Julip. Served in a jar it had Bombay Sapphire gin, elderflower, mint, lemon and apple juice. It was fresh, zesty and delicious! It is also part of the 2 for 1 happy hour deal running every Monday to Friday from 3pm till 6pm.

The Bowling

We couldn’t go to All Star Lanes without having a game of bowling! The atmosphere was great, with all lanes full of people really enjoying themselves and the ‘lane food’ and cocktails. The nowling alley is surprisingly pretty, just like the restaurant.
