Chamomile Cafe

Cafe in Belsize Park

Chamomile Café is located just a ten minute walk from Chalk Farm, Swiss Cottage and Belsize Park stations and oozes comfort and charm. The cafe seats a fair few people  although these seats get quickly snapped up so be prepared to wait at weekends. Serving up freshly prepared food and coffee which changes daily, they also have a weekend brunch menu.

Their dishes are seasonal and very varied, some are super healthy and some are indulgent. We had a lovely Sunday brunch in Chamomile cafe in Belsize Park, opting for the Full English: with fried eggs, smoked bacon, sausages, roast tomato, field mushroom and toast and the Full veggie: with fried eggs, veggie sausages, beans, roast tomato, field mushroom and toast.

Both were the perfect portion, filling but not too much and all the ingredients were high quality and fresh. You have the option to swap anything you don’t fancy for extra of others which is really great. I loved the veggie sausage; it was like a sausage shaped hash brown – so good! The mushrooms were big and juicy and tasted amazing and the eggs were perfectly cooked too.

We had a lovely almond milk latte, which was a really decent cup of coffee. It was brewed with fresh hand roasted beans which are specifically blended for Chamomile and delivered each week on the roasting day. In addition to this all the staff are trained baristas – talk about coffee commitment!

The owners and staff say they take pride in their restaurant and the quality of food they produce. This certainly shines through in the cafe! The food was great, the staff and owners were so lovely and it was packed out with regulars! We loved our brunch at Chamomile – we would definitely recommend it.
