Devonshire Terrace

Restaurant in Liverpool Street

Devonshire Terrace restaurant in Liverpool Street is based down New Street in Devonshire Square. Revamped and now run by the popular Drake and Morgan chain, Devonshire Terrace offers gorgeous interiors in a relaxed atmosphere. The best part is the al fresco dining at the front and rear of the restaurant.

I was lucky enough to participate in a fun cocktail making class where we made a Yoga mat & cha: Boutique-y spit-roasted pineapple gin, yoghurt, almond milk, honey green tea, baking soda, lemon, sage & hazelnut.

Now my mixing and shaking left a little to be desired. However, it was certainly good fun and the cocktail was very drinkable! Check out the cocktail making masterclasses at Devonshire Terrace here: Devonshire Terrace

Spring Menu

Spring has arrived so the Drake and Morgan menus have altered to reflect seasonal dishes. We started off with the Chicken Wings with Maple, ale & chilli glaze which was a generous portion of sticky wings.

restaurant in Liverpool StreetFor main dishes we had the D&M burger: 7oz British beef, smoked bacon & Applewood cheese in a beetroot brioche bun. This was HUGE and unsurprisingly pretty filling. We also had the Roast lamb rump: Mash, samphire, cherry tomato, shallot & currant salsa. This was fantastic – tender pieces of lamb with very little fat and in a gorgeous dressing. It was an absolutely bargain at only £13.95.

I sadly did not have room for dessert but it was the cocktails that I was intrigued by. The Creme brulee martini and the chocolate brownie martini are definitely a reason to return.

Overall

Devonshire Terrace is a great affordable restaurant in Liverpool Street with a decent selection of small plates and main dishes. The al fresco dining area is great for the warmer evenings!
