Brunch in Shoreditch
Quite honestly, I had to look up what Hoi Polloi meant and the answer is – the masses, the common people.
There is, however, nothing common about Hoi Polloi within the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. With a beautiful decor and a stylish yet unpretentious feel, I absolutely rate this place for weekend brunch in Shoreditch.
Access to Hoi Polloi is through the main entrance of the Ace Hotel, or just further down Shoreditch High Street, there is a smaller entrance through a cute flower shop.
The Pancakes and Bacon with maple syrup (and a side of sausage ) were fluffy and tasty and the Roast Beef was cooked medium rare, just how we like it.
To finish, we managed to squeeze in a sticky toffee pudding, which was seriously gorgeous!
During the brunch a string quartet played a wide variety of songs from old school classics to recent songs. It was absolutely beautiful to listen to over brunch.
With cocktails and prosecco, it was £50 each with service, which is pretty decent value for the quality of food and the atmosphere.
