Quartieri is a newly opened authentic pizzeria offering up fresh and delicious food straight out of Naples. Located a five minute walk from Kilburn tube station, it feels like you’re stepping into Italy when you walk through the doors. The restaurant is well decorated with room for smaller or larger groups.

The menu offers recipes using fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients – with most of the ingredients being shipped over twice a week from Italy. Everything else is locally sourced. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and happy to provide explanations of the traditional recipes on offer.

To start we ordered Frittura: Fried Neapolitan delights, crocchè, arancini, which were well seasoned and very tasty. We also tried the Bruschette which was unbelievably fresh! The bruschette is always changing but I got to try their take on the classic which was perfect.

For our mains we decided to go for pizzas – of course! We tried the Margherita Pizza : Agerola Fior di latte, Casa Marazzo organic tomatoes, organic extra virgin olive oil. Obviously a classic and it was delicious so it didn’t disappoint. We also tried the  Salasiccia E Fiarelli: Agerola smoked provola, ‘paesane sausages’, friarielli, organic extra virgin olive oil   – friarielli is a bitter vegetable similar to kale which may be an acquired taste for some but I thought it really complimented the smokey cheese and sausages .

For desert we tried the specials of Tiramisu which the chef cooks specially in a  bain marie so the sponge is extra soft and has a great coffee kick and the Orange And Passionfruit Cheesecake with mild flavours so as not to overpower the oh so creamy taste!

Quartieri has a good selection of wines and craft beers to match their menu. As it was a school night we opted for their locally sourced ‘Karma Kola’ which tasted like old school cola bottle sweets and a ‘Lemony Lemonade’ which was fresh and tasty. My arm was twisted to try the Frangelico hazelnut liqueur and I have to say it went very well with the tiramisu!

We had a fantastic meal, with great service – I can’t fault anything and it was great value considering pizzas were only £5 – £9.50.
