Restaurants in Edinburgh
Set out below are some of the restaurants in Edinburgh that I visited during a weekend stay.
Based on Jeffrey Street, near the centre of Edinburgh is Michael’s Steak and Seafood restaurant. As the name suggests, it focuses on steak and seafood but also has vegetarian options.
The restaurant has a relaxed feel and the service was warm and friendly. We had the haggis bon bons and scallops to start and the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce for main – both tasty. We managed to grab a deal off Groupon but normal price for 2 courses plus drinks for 2 people would be around £70.
Lovely tapas restaurant right near many bars and clubs in Edinburgh. Authentic feel, good service and reasonably priced. 7 tapas with drinks was around £50.
If you are around Morningside area or The Meadows, visit Henricks Bar and Bistro. I had a full English breakfast there (obviously with haggis) for £7 and it was brilliant.
Located in Edinburgh’s West End, Indigo Yard is a modern and cute restaurant with a courtyard. You can get yourself 2 main dishes for £10 at lunch time (we had the burger and the pulled pork flatbread) and you can even get 2 courses for £10 for dinner – absolute bargain!
