Cafe in Notting Hill
The Dayrooms Cafe in Notting Hill is around a 5 minute walk from Ladbrooke Grove station or a 15 minute walk from Notting Hill Gate Station. They are an Aussie inspired café serving up fresh and tasty brunch and lunch dishes with an impressive selection of drinks. It is a beautiful little café and you could easily sit for hours chatting over their delicious produce!
The Drinks and Food
We started with very tasty and pretty looking latte’s made with almond milk (just one of the milk alternatives they offer) whilst we perused the menu – torn on what to choose as it all sounded so good.
In the end we opted for the Sweet potato & Kale hash; fried eggs, avocado, salsa verde & sourdough toast. This was super tasty, the eggs were cooked to perfection with runny yolks and the salsa verde was really flavoursome. We also tried the Avocado on sourdough toast; sprouting salad, heirloom tomato, goats curd & chilli oil with added eggs for extra oomph and they were perfectly poached!
Finally on our table was the Breakfast bowl; avocado smash, sweet potato, shredded carrots, watercress, courgette, & ricotta fritters with herby crème fraiche & salsa verde. Again, really tasty and the perfect size too for my dieting companion. All of the food was really fresh and healthy without missing out on flavour. They did not go overboard on bread or portion sizes and they were very attractive dishes!
The staff are so friendly and fun at this cafe in Nottinh Hill! Their attitude makes the place that little bit more special. With dishes ranging from £7 to £12 it is very good value for money. They are hoping to expand to a dinner menu and they already serve beer and wine into the evening.
