Vegan Restaurant in King’s Cross
This week we had a veggie / vegan experience at Mildreds restaurant in King’s Cross. There are also branches in Camden, Soho and Dalston given how popular it is.
Mildreds vegan restaurant in King’s Cross serves up tasty well thought out food. It is a large and attractive restaurant which was really busy when we visited on a Friday evening.
We tried the Stir Fried Vegetables in shiitake mushroom sauce, with mirin, chilli, coriander, garlic and ginger with brown rice, organic tofu and toasted cashews. This was really tasty, it was healthy and also filling – the tofu was great and the sauce was really delicious.
We also sampled the Polish Burger, with beetroot, white bean and dill in focaccia bun with iceberg lettuce, red onion mayonnaise, pickled cabbage and gherkin. This was also great, really tasty and filling in fact it was huge! The chips were chunky and tasty and the pesto mayo that came with it was so great.
To finish we had the Chocolate and Hazelnut Brownie with salted caramel sauce and ice cream which was fantastic! The brownie was served hot and was gooey and oh so tasty and the ice cream and sauce were the perfect combination.
Everything we ate was vegan, which is mind blowing considering how tasty it all was, especially the brownie! We would really recommend Mildreds for a tasty meal – whether you are or aren’t a veggie!
