Where to Stay in the Peak District
The Peak District National Park is 555 square miles and covers parts of the counties of Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire, and Cheshire. Our Peak District accommodation with a hot tub was in Chapel-en-le-Frith, a small town towards the North of the Peak District. It’s close to Buxton and the border with Cheshire.
Large Studio Apartment in Chapel-en-le-Frith
Greenacres Retreat is a large, family run studio apartment separate from the main property and accessed by its own side gate. Beth, who runs the accommodation, was super friendly and helpful before, and throughout, the stay. It’s situated around a 10 minute walk from Chapel-en-le-Frith where there are several shops, pubs and a handful of restaurants. We recommend the Old Cell Ale and Gin Bar for drinks and dinner at Vecchia Italia restaurant. Just over a 5 minute drive is The Beehive Inn, Combs which offers delicious traditional pub food.
One of the main attractions to the accommodation was the hot tub in the apartment’s own private patio garden. It was wonderful to have a few dips during our stay! Hot tub robes, slippers and towels are also provided.
Another stand out offering with this accommodation was the complimentary afternoon tea or nibble platter. I was stunned by the size of ours with sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones and cakes! All homemade and delicious.

Overall
We were impressed with the large open plan studio apartment with a hot tub which was perfect for two of us and our baby. The accommodation was also reasonably priced at just over £100 a night (based on a Mon-Thurs stay) Finally, Beth is a wonderful host!
