5 Star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur
The Face Suites is a gorgeous yet reasonably priced 5 Star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur located in the vicinity of the Golden Triangle (Kuala Lumpur’s commercial, shopping and entertainment hub). It is also less than a 20 minute walk from the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower.

A taxi from the airport with GRAB (South East Asia’s Uber) is approximately 60MYR / £12 and takes around 50 minutes – one hour. The airport has a civilised queuing system where you wait inside the terminal until you have a notification that your GRAB has arrived. You then show your notification to the staff and get your GRAB taxi outside.

5 Star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur: The 1 Bedroom Apartment
The Face Suites offers extremely spacious apartments (suites), some with amazing views of the city. It was easily one of the largest suites I have stayed in and at £75 a night, it is a great value.

We stayed in a one bedroom superior apartment which features a separate bedroom with king bed, en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower and a walk-in-wardrobe / storage area. This room is split by a sliding door from the rest of the apartment.

The living space is HUGE with a large sofa, coffee table and TV and a small table and chairs. The kitchenette is equipped with sink, hob, microwave oven and large refrigerator with freezer.

The Face Suites offers a buffet breakfast served from 7-10.30am at Level 50A in the Platinum Hall. As it was £15pp, we opted out and went to a local restaurant for breakfast.
5 Star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur – The Infinity Pool and Gym
One of the main attractions to The Face Suites was the infinity pool on the Sky Deck with gorgeous views of the City.

There is a little hut to swap out your towel card (which you get at check in) for 2 towels per card. Unsurprisingly the pool area was always busy when we visited and there are a limited amount of sunbeds surrounding the pool.

The gym is also on the 51st floor and there is a decent range of equipment including treadmills, cross trainers and weights.

If you still want views of the Petronas Towers, treat yourself to a cocktail at the rooftop bar, Deep Blue.

Overall
We loved this 5 star hotel in Kuala Lumpur – big thanks to Emma at Catch 52 for recommending it! The suites are modern and so spacious which was a real plus point. Some online reviews talk about issues with the timing of the elevators but we did not have any problems. Despite the construction, the infinity pool is still a real selling point.
We ordered GRAB’s from the hotel to other parts of the City which never cost more than 24MRY / £4.50. If we were spending longer in KL, we would have stayed within a short walking distance of the buzzing Bukit Bintang area.
