If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, cool apartment in Gdańsk, Montownia Lofts & Experience is a top pick. It’s tucked into a restored industrial U-boat factory in the old shipyard area, giving it an industrial but modern feel.

The lofts are spacious, with mezzanine sleeping areas, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a small kitchenette complete with a hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge — perfect if you want to self-cater or keep snacks handy.

Getting there from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is super straightforward as you can take a taxi for around 70–85 PLN (roughly £15-20), which takes about 15-20 minutes. For exploring the city centre, Montownia is a 15 minute walk away or just £5-£8 by taxi so you’re perfectly positioned for sightseeing without being right in the centre.

One of the standout features is the food hall on the ground floor, with over 20 food and drink spots serving everything from breakfast to ramen, dumplings, burgers and cocktails.

Even though the food hall is lively, the lofts themselves are very well soundproofed, so you won’t hear the buzz when you’re trying to sleep. There’s also a luggage storage room via reception, which is super handy if you arrive early or have a late departure.

We booked via Booking.com and paid only around £140 for two nights, which felt like a steal for such a unique and stylish place. All in all, Montownia is a great base for exploring Gdańsk.
