Lords Seat Bed & Breakfast
Lords Seat is an amazing bed & breakfast in Keswick with larger than average rooms, a great location and super friendly hosts. It’s situated in Thornthwaite, less than a 10 minute drive from Keswick centre with parking on site. Just a 3 minute drive way is the small village of Braithwaite where there are a couple of pubs.
The Lords Seat is a converted 17th Century barn with two spacious, newly furnished en-suite bedrooms including a sofa and TV with Netflix. There are lots of special touches including sleeping masks, cotton buds and wool and water and milk in the fridge. Oh, and the bath lights up!
The hosts have over 25 years of experience owning and managing Hotels and Bed & Breakfasts in the Lake District so know the area very well. Both John and his wife were super friendly and always checking in to see if there was anything else we needed. If you book directly you can get 10% off for stays over 3 nights. Our 2 night stay in May was £236 including breakfast.
Breakfast at Lords Seat
Between 8.30 and 10am, breakfast is served in the cosy dining room. You can help yourself to a continental selection of cereal (3 different types), fresh fruit, yoghurt and juice. The night before, you choose your hot dish which can be a fully cooked breakfast (meat or vegetarian), omelette, smoked salmon and eggs and more. All served with coffee, tea or hot chocolate, the breakfast is fresh and delicious.
The Lord’s Seat bed and breakfast in Keswick is a home away from home! They have worked hard in making this B&B extra special – it was a lovely stay and thoroughly recommended.
