Junsei is an authentic Japanese restaurant in Marylebone focusing on yakitori. This style of cooking elevates and honours every part of the chicken giving a zero-waste concept. Every part of the chicken is skewered (in over 20 different variations) and grilled over white-hot binchotan charcoal, which is the soul of yakitori.

We loved the Yakitori cooked fresh at the bar. The thigh, crispy chicken skin and chicken meatball skewers were our favourites. The okra dobinmushi, mushroom and dashi served in an incredible broth was a hearty, delicious dish. Lastly, we recommend the grilled hotate Sea Scallops, Trumpet Mushroom and sauce served with flair in a beautifully presented shell opened at the table for you.

The chocolate fondant with a delicious delicately flavoured roasted green tea ice cream was a great end to the meal.
