Eco Cabin in Ashington, West Sussex

The Hazel Hide is a stunning luxury cabin in West Sussex situated on a flower farm in the small village of Ashington. Ideally, it is best to drive but it’s a 15-20 minute drive from train stations at Pulborough, Horsham and West Worthing With 7 acres of land surrounding the cabin. It’s a remote location for privacy and peace and quiet but only a 25 minute walk to the village across the fields. Brighton is also only a 35 minute drive away and there are 5 vineyards within a 20 minute drive!

Cabin Interiors

Heath Flower Farm has two bedrooms to sleep 4 people. One is situated on the mezzanine area (still with curtains and a blind) and a second bedroom on the lower level which can be single beds or set up as a double bed.

The living area is a good size with a sofa, rocking chair and table and chairs . We spent a rainy evening playing with the games that are in the cabin. They also have a selection of adult and children’s books.

The kitchen has an oven, hob and fridge / freezer with plenty of utensils and some condiments. The kind hosts, Kate & Duncan, also leave butter, milk, bread and some surprise sweet treats!

The highlight of the cabin is the expansive outdoor area – simply beautiful, especially when the sun is shining. The hosts provide chairs and a parasol, as well as a charcoal BBQ. Our 18 month daughter loved running around and exploring the fields.

The Hazel Hide is available to book via Air B and B with prices starting from £155 per night. It’s such a lovely, well thought out space with personal touches from the hosts.

Pubs near / in Ashington

The Red Lion pub in Ashington is only a 25 minute walk from Heath Flower Farm via the fields. There is a beer garden at the front and it’s nicely decorated inside. The trio of roast meats on a Sunday was delicious, as well as the Chocolate Brownie.

The White Lion Inn is a small and friendly pub in Thakeham, just a 5 minute drive from the cabin. Plenty of British classics on the menu including Fish & Chips, Pork Belly and Wagyu Beef Burger.
