Italian Restaurant in Clapham
Osteria Mbare is a lively Italian restaurant in Clapham with a delicious range of small and large plates. Service from Sylvia was fantastic and the food was impressive.
From the small plates section we had:
- Arancini: Stuffed fried rice balls, mushroom & winter truffle
- Fried Gnocchi: Deep fried stuffed gnocchi with seasonal filling
Ah, I just love arancini and these rice balls with the hint of truffle really hit the spot.
Pasta wise, we had the Cacio E Pepe – Spaghettoni with black pepper, parmesan & pecorino sauce which is one of my favourites. The Vaccinara – Ravioli with with braised oxtail & white truffle emulsion was another delicious dish although a little pricey for the portion size.
We finished with an indulgent, gooey Lava Cake chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and a Tiramasu.
Overall
The food, service and atmosphere was great at Osteria Mbare – we would recommend a visit to get your Italian food fix! They also offer bottomless brunches (including a monthly drag brunch) with unlimited pasta.
