Pub in Kensal Green
Paradise is a gorgeous pub in Kensal Green, perfect for a cosy Sunday lunch in the restaurant area. On site, there is also a nightclub and private rooms available for hire. They have events through the week including swing classes, comedy and hip hop and rnb nights.
We started our day with a Warners Victoria Rhubarb: a pink gin that is sweet and tangy served with fever tree mixers-lovely crispy and refreshing (£11.80). Following this was a Japanese High Ball with Suntori Toki Whisky fresh lemon juice and fever tree soda which was a really great strong and smooth number (£12.60).
Sunday Roast in Kensal Green
For starters we opted for the lobster ravioli (£9). A delicious start to our meal, the lobster was light and fresh with a delicious creamy sauce.
The vegetarian roast – a mushroom & courgette wellington served with roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, vegetables and red wine gravy (£14.50) was great. The wellington had real substance filled with well cooked meaty mushroom and the pastry was perfectly crisp. Yorkshire puds were satisfyingly large and potatoes crisp yet fluffy. A real solid roast that ticked the boxes!
For dessert we tried the sticky toffee pudding (£7), which was incredibly indulgent and served with a beautifully rich and tasty butterscotch sauce. A bit of vanilla ice cream on the side helped balance the dish – a lovely classic dessert executed exceptionally well.
Paradise is a great pub in Kensal Green for an indulgent Sunday lunch in beautiful surroundings. The pub has several fabulously decorated rooms decked out with vintage pieces. A real gem of a spot that has combined an eclectic yet elegant space with real cosiness and great food.
