Cocktail Bar in Mayfair
5* Hotel, The Stafford, is home to the exquisite American Bar serving amazing cocktails. Their new menu, Alchemy of Equilibrium, is inspired by the balance between the four classic elements: water, earth, air and fire. The mixologists have created four cocktails for each element with different flavour profiles.
The presentation of the cocktails is well executed. Here are a sample of the cocktails we tried:
- Marmoris : Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin, Floral Wine, Yuzu. Sloe, Seaweed, Champagne
- Zephyr: Roku Gin, Agave and Aloe Vera, Raspberry, Citrus, Hibiscus Foam
- Aurora: Whitley Neill Gin, Muyu Vetiver Gris Liqueur, Zalotti Blossom, Citrus, Jasmine Soda
- Aestus: Snow Queen Vodka, Verjus, Elderflower, Passion Fruit, Chilli, Egg White
Cocktails and other beverages can be enjoyed in the relaxed floral courtyard (which has heaters in the winter) or the cosy bar area with American decor. An American inspired menu created by Chef Lisa Goodwin Allen accompanies the drinks and includes favourites including chicken parmigiana, BBQ Iberico Pork Ribs and Montgomery Cheddar Mac and Cheese Bites.
The prices are high end (£20+) given the quality of the cocktails, gorgeous venue and service.
