Pub in Kew
The Greyhound is a friendly pub in Kew located just moments away from Kew Gardens. The standout about this pub is the beer garden which has five covered ‘garden pods’, each with their own heater.
There are also several tables within the garden, some of which have umbrellas. With a handful of tables in the main pub area and a dining room upstairs, there is plenty of space available.
The Food
The menu is restricted at the minute, presumably in light of the Covid guidelines and wanting to ease back into opening. Contact The Greyhound if you have any particular queries in advance of your visit.
We had the Hot Harissa Lamb Kofta served in a Warm Pita Bread with Salad, Chips & Tzatziki (£10) and a Homemade Falafel Burger Toum & Harissa, Rocket, Chips & Salad (£12). The lamb had a hint of spice giving the dish a welcome kick and there was plenty of tzatziki to add a different texture and flavour. There are a few other options on the menu including lobster, steak and fish and chips.
Overall
The service at this pub in Kew was fantastic. Ben, in particular, was very friendly and welcoming. The beer garden was a little gem and we had a relaxed and enjoyable lunch.
