Hotel in Siem Reap
The Night Hotel in Siem Reap is a beautiful boutique residence located in the centre on Sok San Road. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the main markets and Pub Street, 15 minutes drive from Angkor Wat and 20 minutes drive from the airport. The Night Hotel offers a complimentary pick up from Siem Reap airport in a large air conditioned van with a cold towel and water.
The hotel offers 32 rooms which are designed in traditional Khmer style with a touch of modern decoration. Our double room was located on the fourth floor boasting balcony views over the pool area, restaurant and garden area. The room was very spacious with sufficient storage, a safe, TV, coffee and tea facilities, a fridge and a balcony. The open plan bathroom includes a bathtub and a shower with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided. There are also bath robes and slippers in the wardrobe and free wi-fi is offered throughout the hotel.
The entrance to the hotel leads down a pathway with wind-chimes, fairy lights and buddha statutes. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel clearly takes pride in maintaining high standards. The hotel helped us book our Angkor Wat tour and our return tuk tuk to the airport ($5).
Included in the room rate (approximately £40 a night) is breakfast which is served from 7am-10am. However, if you have a day trip in the morning, they will offer to pack you a breakfast for your journey.
The Night Hotel offers six different set menus for breakfast with orange or pineapple juice and coffee or tea:
- Continental Breakfast: toast, roll and croissant with jam, honey and butter
- American Breakfast: eggs (how you want them), hash brown potatoes, chicken sausage, bacon
- Khmer Breakfast: Chicken rice with egg and vegetables, soup
- Vegetarian Breakfast: Vegetable soup, vegetable fried rice
- Asian Discovery: Stir fried perk with ytellow noodlel, Chinese croissant
- Asian Destination: Khmer noodles, soup
We loved the Khmer Breakfast as the chicken was so succulent! All are served with seasonal fruits – we had dragon-fruit, banana, mango and watermelon. Some days all I wanted was seasonal fresh fruit which they were happy to provide.
The Night Hotel in Siem Reap is a great, affordable choice with amazing facilities and staff. We loved the pool area where we could spend part of the morning or afternoon chilling and the location was perfect.
