Cafe in Barbican
Barbie Green is a gorgeous cafe in Barbican from the wonderful Daisy Green collection. Always bright, colourful and Australian themed, each cafe / restaurant always has the Daisy Green ‘touch’.

Barbie Green is more minimalist than some of the other cafes but still retains its vibrant atmosphere. It will no doubt be swarmed with workers from Bank, Barbican, Moorgate and St Paul’s as it’s open from 6.30-10pm.

The Food
For breakfast, they offer takeaway freshly made pastries and cakes and, of course, a variety of hot drinks. Alternatively, you can start your day with a more relaxed eat in breakfast. At lunch and dinner, Barbie Green serves a range of pizzas and smaller / larger plates. The nduja prawns sound AMAZING.

We visited for brunch at the weekend and it was great to see how busy it was, given the city is known for being quieter on Saturdays and Sundays. Barbie Green offers its infamous bottomless brunch where you can delve into a sweet and savoury dish as well as bottomless prosecco or mimosas for 100 minutes for only £39.50 pp.

We had the following dishes:
- Award winning banana bread sandwich, honey mascarpone cream, fresh berries, flaked almonds (£9.8)
- Buttermilk blueberry pancakes, fresh berries, honey mascarpone cream, pure maple (£11.6)
- Smashed avocado, cold fermented activated charcoal sourdough, house labne, Aleppo chilli (£8.6)
- Fancy bacon roll, poached eggs, crispy onions, back bacon, holy f*ck hollandaise, paratha roti (£13.8)

Oh my, the food is always great at a Daisy Green. The pancakes are a must order – they are so light and fluffy. Such a dreamy combination with honey mascarpone cream and fresh berries. The banana bread has become pretty famous at Daisy Green as has the Fancy Bacon Roll and we understand why!

Overall
The Daisy Green menus are original and feature innovative twists on the classics which work really well. Barbie Green is an awesome cafe in Barbican both during the week and for a boozier weekend brunch. Make sure you have a cheeky Gin Sour too – it is delicious!
