Bars in Lisbon
Set out below are some great bars in Lisbon that I visited during a weekend trip!
Right by the beautiful view over Lisbon in Santa Catarina lies Pharmacia, a bar / restaurant set out like a pharmacy. There are old drug store cabinets along the walls and wine bottles resting in ice buckets made of first aid kits!
We visited Pharmacia for drinks in their lovely outdoor area. There were a selection of cocktails available around 9 Euros each and a chilled out vibe with a small jazz band playing.
This is an ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM in Barrio Alto. Park bar in Lisbon is situated on the top floor of a parking block! You literally head into the parking lot and follow signs to the lift to the fifth floor.
The bar and rooftop outside is beautiful and the views are stunning over the river and bridges of Lisbon. For such a lovely place, the drinks were reasonably priced and the cocktails were fantastic!
Park can get quite packed so try and manoeuvre your way through the crowds to the back! The music was rnb and hip hop and people were dancing fairy early on.
Park is open daily apart from Sunday from about 1pm and closes at 2/3am. This is my favourite bar in Lisbon by a long way – unpretentious and reminded me of good old quirky East London!
If you want to stay out late and have some fun then travel to “Pink Street” in Cais do Sodre. The bars and clubs open until 6am!
It is more cheesy than other areas in Lisbon but there are so many different bars and clubs that you can pop in to for free. There are old school discos like Tokyo and Rotterdam and bars including Copenhagen and Viking. Some of them even offer a free drink on arrival.
Music box is a good place to go for live music and then a DJ. There are also burlesque shows you can go and see. Pink Street has it all!
Lux is partly owned by Hollywood actor John Malkovich and is a three floor superclub with a beautiful roof terrace.
It is fairly swanky so be prepared to dress up a little. We (four girls) had no trouble getting in (12 Euros entrance) but imagine the club can be more difficult with men. The drinks are anywhere between 7 and 12 Euros. The frozen daiquiri was fantastic!
The design is swanky and stylish and the club is very spacious. The music is generally house which, unfortunately, was not my scene. Open until 6 am!
