Bars in Sorrento
You may walk past the Foreigners Club not thinking anything of it but just walk through the doors, turn left and then straight and you will be greeted with a beautiful huge space for dining and drinking overlooking Sorrento Bay and Mount Vesuvius.
We had booked an area for our friend’s wedding and had some spectacular views. The sparkling rose is particularly good, as well as the Aperol Spritz. Definitely recommend a visit here!
Located in the square is Fauno Bar, which has a huge outside area for eating and drinking. We popped by at 10pm one evening and had some cocktails, beer and amaretto (just with ice is delicious). The Gin Fizz was particularly tasty but there are many more to try.
This is also linked to the only discotheque (love that word!) in Sorrento. We decided to pop in on a Saturday night around midnight and we were greeted by around 5 people! However, given we were a group of around 15, we just took over the dance floor and literally danced the night away. The frozen strawberry daiquiri was rather tasty! It was €10 entrance with a free drink so not bad at all! Shortly after, a number of other people joined us and we actually had a really fun evening.
Definitely have a cocktail at the rooftop bar of the Favorita Hotel. On the way to the lift is the beautiful lounge area but it gets even better at the top. We enjoyed a lovely strawberry dacquiri taking in the beautiful views.
On the main road opposite La Favorita restaurant is Insolito, a bar which has a small outside area but more of an inside space. Happy hour runs until 10pm (or sometime later) making the vast majority of cocktails (and there is a huge chocie) only €5. I enjoyed my coconut daiquiri here and also had a little shot from home – a baby Guinness!
