Brother Marcus
Brunch in Angel
Brother Marcus has recently opened a new branch and we visited to try their wonderful brunch in Angel. Located in the lovely Camden Passage, Brother Marcus serves up a great family themed menu in gorgeous settings. The restaurant has plenty of space, a delicious counter of cakes and a comfortable homely feel.

The Menu
We sampled the Brother Special: beetroot cured salmon, scrambled eggs & grilled English asparagus with gremolata on toast (£9.80). We also opted for the Summer Salad: Butternut squash, edamame, tiger tomato & pomegranate on buckwheat, freekeh, spinach & rocket salad with a tahini dressing(£8).

The Brother Special was beautifully presented, with the beetroot giving the salmon a red hue but not spoiling the flavour. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the bread was the perfect accompaniment. The salad was also great, full of colour and flavour – the perfect summer salad. It was also really tasty and filling!

Accompanying our brunch we had an Americano and an Iced latte made with almond milk. The coffee was delicious but very strong – certainly one for lovers of the powerful stuff!

In Summary
Brother Marcus is a great cosy spot for brunch in Angel! We could easily have spent longer over some more coffees chatting away because of the relaxed vibe. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel even more at ease. A big thumbs up for the vegan options too!
