Cafe Pacifico, Covent Garden

Mexican Restaurant in Covent Garden

Established in 1982, Café Pacifico, was the first Mexican restaurant in the UK! Still going strong today, it was very busy when we visited on a Thursday evening. It has a vibrant décor and murals and photographs celebrating the Day of the Dead (a Mexican holiday traditionally celebrated on 1 November).

If you are a fan of margaritas or mojitos you are in luck as there are plenty of different varieties. We loved the Pomegranate Margarita and the Fresh Passion and Spiced Mojito.

Food wise, we started with the Guacamole served with Corn Chips which is just so addictive! I LOVED the Street Food Taco selection with smoked pork beans and salsas which included: Grilled Beef Fillet – Chicken Tinga – Glazed Pulled Pork – Crispy Seabass – Grilled Vegetables. The quesadillas with wild mushroom, cheese and pepper were also flavoursome and filling. Other Mexican classics are on the menu including fajitas and burritos.

Café Pacifico is a fun and affordable restaurant in London for Mexican cuisine with prices for starters from £7 and mains from £14.
