Bar in Aldgate
Discount Suit Company is a hidden cocktail bar in Aldgate off the beaten track – be careful not to walk past it! The bar is situated in what was originally a storeroom for the old suit company above and its name is in homage to the existing original sign and business on Pettycoat Lane.
Downstairs in the basement lies an atmospheric neighbourhood style bar that is not laid back and unpretentious. There is some seating at the bar and at small tables and sofas in the intimate venue.
The bartenders are friendly and helpful and there are a number of tasty looking cocktails to choose from, all priced at £9. We had:
- Picadura: Quiquiriqui Mezcal, Orange Aperitif, Citrus, Grapefruit Bitters
- Nude and Notorious: Pisco, Yellow Chartreuse, Celery, Raspberry Shrub
They can also mix up a mocktail of your choice based on your preferences.
