Fortnum & Mason @ The Royal Exchange
Fortnum & Mason new luxe opening resides in the impressive central courtyard of the Royal Exchange. With a sleek central bar surrounded by tables for dinner, there is an al fresco-esque feel. Enveloped by luxury stores and Fortnum & Mason’s own shops, it is the perfect spot for a bit of festive shopping and a drink. We popped down on a Thursday afternoon to enjoy live jazz and a couple of cocktails.

Cocktail Time!
We tried the Pisco (£12) with pisco, Fornum’s own lemon curd, lime & bitters. It was an zingy and refreshing elegantly served little bright yellow number. The tang of the lemon curd was delicious and a lovely touch to have Fortnum’s own produce incorporated into the drinks offerings.

Our second choice was the Henry Peat (£13) with sherry, lemon, apricot, 16 year aged whisky and egg white. It was a rich and sophisticated pick that had a great kick from the whisky.

Overall
We enjoyed our cocktails whilst listening to superb live musicians singing classic jazz, as well as a few modern numbers. This lovely set up is on every Tuesday and Thursday evening (and totally free!). The architecture of the Royal Exchange combined with the stunning Fortnum & Mason bar make for a great spot for a special evening or a post work drink.
