Indian Food in Soho
Gunpowder is a modern Indian restaurant in Soho with venues also in Tower Bridge and Spitalfields. The restaurants celebrate traditional family recipes with a modern twist. Since visiting the Tower Bridge branch years ago, Gunpowder has remained one of my favourite restaurants in London.

Small and Sharing Plates at Gunpowder
Gunpowder is all about offering unique dishes with a sharing concept. We had:
- Oysters with ghee
- Gunpowder Chaat, Norfolk Potatoes
- Spicy Venison & Vermicelli Doughnut
- Barnsley Lamb Chop, Kashmiri Ghee Roast, 250g
- Old Monk Rum Bread & Butter Pudding
- Caramel Custard

Such delicious punchy flavours in all dishes! The spicy venison was exceptional – a crisp exterior with pillow-y soft interior filled with tender venison served with a punchy sauce for spice lovers. The lamb chops are a must order – they were so tender they melted in your mouth.

Overall
Gunpowder is a fantastic Indian restaurant in Soho with a modern twist. Small plates start from £5.5 and sharing plates from £16. Once you’ve tasted the vibrant flavours, you’ll want to go back for more.
