Restaurant in Bankside
OXBO is a vibrant, local neighbourhood restaurant in Bankside which is situated in the Hilton, close to London Bridge and Borough Market.

Inside, it’s very modern and absolutely gorgeous. It has a fancy, ranch style feel, with woods and monochrome throughout, animal heads donning the walls, and atmospheric lighting adding to the touch of class.

The Menu
The menus are pretty concise, featuring a range of seasonal, modern cuisine. All dishes are created from locally sourced and seasonal produce from Borough Market which bring a mixture of French, Eastern and British influences to the table.
Every Thursday and Friday between 12pm and 10.30pm, OXBO offers the ‘Prosecco Days’ menu – a 3 course set menu with 90 minutes of unlimited bubbles for just £35!

The Prosecco Days Menu
There are three choices for each course on the Prosecco Days Menu. The Cornish bream tartare starter with beetroot purée, baby leaves, crostini, was fresh, elegant and delightful. It was beautiful in flavour – the beetroot adding a slightly sweet touch to the subtle bream. It was light and very tasty.
The Duck liver parfait was creamy, smooth and served with a homemade chutney, which added a touch of sweetness. We loved also loved the parfait was served on brioche bread.

Main Dishes
Both of the mains also arrived beautifully presented. At this point, we realised portions aren’t massive, but it meant we knew we might be able to fit dessert in.
The Grilled Seabass was beautifully cooked, with a delicious skin atop. It was served with a red pepper & basil relish, which was a delicious and fresh topping. There was also an olive oil mash side too, which was extremely creamy.

The Corn-fed chicken with charred broccoli, Romesco sauce, toasted almonds just topped the seabass. The chicken was tender and soft, tasty by itself. The charred broccoli was cooked well, and the romesco sauce was beautiful – a lot like thick pesto. The almonds added a delightful crunch and nutty flavour. The dish also came with a small pot of creamy mash which was fantastic alongside.

Desserts
On to desserts and it’s hard to say which stole the show. The Baileys Tiramisu with dark chocolate sorbet was dreamy. The tiramisu itself was creamy yet light, with super soft sponge. The dark chocolate sorbet was delicious, and the zesty orange coulis and candied orange was fantastic on the side too. A great mix of flavours in this dessert. We highly recommend opting for this!

The Vanilla Cheesecake with seasonal fruits, was also great. This was seriously creamy too, and absolutely delicious! There was just enough seasonal fruits and juices, making the dish a great way to end the meal.

The Prosecco!
The prosecco as part of the bottomless option was light, not too dry and very tasty. The team ensured we were kept topped up, and were very attentive in doing so! This is exactly what you want when you’re taking part in a bottomless option!
If you’re not there for the ‘Prosecco Days’ menu, they do have plenty of other options too.
