Italian Restaurant in the City of London
Piazza Italiana is an Italian restaurant in the City of London housed in a spectacular grade II listed building – the former home of British Linen Bank – on Threadneedle Street. It’s a stunning location inside, with beautiful architecture and styling. From the moment you set foot inside you’re looked after well by the whole team.

The menu, created by Sicilian-born Remo Mazzucato, is based on classic recipes from all over Italy. It focuses on authenticity and seasonal ingredients. There are lunch offers and a bottomless brunch on a Saturday which include all the classics. The bottomless is not just drinks but pasta and pizza too!
Italian Dishes
The food is superb, packed with flavour and cooked beautifully. The starters include the likes of a cheesy, delightful truffled arancini al tartufo in wild mushroom sauce and a delicate, light carpaccio di branzino (seabass).

For mains, our favourites were the rigatoni alla carbonara and the creamy casarecce con funghi. The indulgent quattro formaggi (four cheese) and flavoursome proscuitto e burrata pizzas were fantastic too.

As for drinks, Piazza Italiana has an extensive wine list, alongside a bar menu featuring a handful of classic cocktails. The Prosecco ‘Gocce di Favola’ Extra Dry complemented the pasta dishes. The bar team make a great Aperol spritz too!
