Cafe in Parsons Green
St Clements is a friendly café in Parsons Green – a real gem of an independent venue serving up brunches, coffees, cake and smoothies. There is a lovely outdoor terrace seating, with tasteful florals and a retractable cover in case of rain making an appearance.
We tried the following brunch dishes:
- Herby pea, chard, leek & feta fritters, poached Tilly’s eggs, dukkah, labneh & wild rocket (GF) (£11.95)
- Summer health plate, soft boiled Tilly’s egg, Isle of Wight Tomatoes, Hass avocado, homemade labneh, dukkah and toasted seeded rye (£11.75)
- Apple Zinger Apple, lemon, mint and ginger juice (£7.95)
- Iced latte (£3.90)
We absolutely loved the herby fritters – they packed real flavour and had a beautiful texture. The warmth of the dukkah spicing and creamy labneh made for a delicious hearty dish. The salad was also so fresh and beautifully presented.
The juice was zingy and fresh – there is a whole array of fresh juices to choose from from the juice bar menu too. We really appreciated the nods to local produce in the menu with all dishes made daily, fresh and on site.
We ended our brunch with a little cake that we couldn’t resist from the counter top display. The Amalfi lemon & pistachio cake with pink rhubarb (GF) (£7.00) had a beautiful zingy lemon flavour with a lovely moist, crumbly texture – incredible that it was gluten free also! It was served with fresh strawberries and we would really recommend trying it as it’s a really delicious, quality bake.
All in all we loved our visit to this lovely brunch cafe in Parsons Green. It ticks all the boxes of a good local brunch spot which has a great range of dishes to suit all. The dedication to keeping dishes seasonal and use of local produce is commendable and there is a lovely cosy elegance to the space.
