Greek Restaurant in London

Suvlaki (named after the famous Greek street food where meat is served on a skewer or in a pita wrap) brings delicious Greek cuisine to the heart of Brick Lane! The restaurant has an intimate feel with low lighting and small booths, which would make for a cosy date night.

The menu was perfect for me with lots of small dishes (love food sharing!). We had 8 dishes between the two of us which was ample which were all priced between £4-8. From the small dishes we had the Prawns Saganaki: white wine tomato and feta and Cheese Nibble: grilled mastelo, pita, fig marmelade. Also the  Courgette Fritters: smoked applewood cheddar, nigella seeds, Pork Kritharaki: pulled pork, orzo, wild oregano and Meatballs: traditional Greek tomato sauce. I absolutely LOVED the cheese nibble, the fritters and the pork.

On to the signature dishes we had the Moussaka: aubergine, courgette and bechamel sauce. From the Suvlaki section, we had the Mount Olympus Wild Boar and Aged Scottish Texel Lamb skewer.  The wild boar was our ‘wild card’ but we loved it!

Lastly, we had the Chocolate Biscuit cake with homemade coffee ice cream:
