11 Best Rooftops in London
Now if there is one thing I love in London, it’s a good rooftop bar or restaurant! I just love being up high and taking in the views of our wonderful city. Here are my 10 best rooftops in London:
Aviary
The Aviary is an absolutely stunning rooftop restaurant in the City on the 10th floor of the Montcalm Royal London House Hotel in Finsbury Square. When you enter, you are greeted by a beautiful open air rooftop area with comfortable chairs and sofas and fantastic views over the City. Great in the summer and winter (they have blankets) it is one of the biggest rooftop restaurants in London. Cocktails from £13.50.

Roof East
Stratford Mall (e.g. not Westfield) has transformed the multi storey car park rooftop into a vibrant bar and playground! We loved how much seating there was in the venue (both covered and open) with deckchairs and benches galore. They also have fun activities from SFG club:
- Birdies Crazy Golf
- Sluggers rooftop batting cages
- Curling
- Shuffleboard
- House of Foos, a VR-heavy football/table foosball hybrid!
It is a super fun and vibrant rooftop in East London. Cocktails from £8.

The Mercer Rooftop Terrace has bright and floral decor inside and outside. So even if the weather isn’t great, the area is still perfect for a drink or two. Iris Bar
Since it opened to the public (no membership needed) in 2018, Iris Bar has been one of my best rooftops in London. The Gherkin has always been an icon to me with its unique shape and thousands of metres of glass. It tends to catch everyone’s eye! Situated on the 39th floor of the Gherkin, Iris Bar has 360 degree panoramic views of London. The staff are so friendly and the drinks are very reasonably priced for such an amazing venue. Cocktails from £12.50.
